About Me
- Catherine Marie Ramos
- I am Catherine, a friendly girl with a “passion for fashion”. I first began to sew when I raided my grandmother’s closet; tearing apart items and re-sewing them in different cuts to better suit my shape. Years later, I made my first clothing line when I was living in the Caribbean. Instantly I was inspired by the bright color infusions of the environment and styles around me. As I began to create summer wear, I began to anticipate the clothing back in the United States. The color palettes dramatically change as the environment changes, it is one great parallel. Back in Boston, I began to use the earth tones that began to emerge in the trees and the nature around me. The beauty of the earth inspired my thought processes as I constructed my new clothing lines. This made me explore the ideas of recycling fabrics, similar to how it all began in my grandmother’s closet. As long as I keep pursuing this direction of fashion and learn from experience, I will know that I have chosen the right path. I appreciate any help and feedback from all of you =).
